The Problems of Implementation of Statutory Provisions on the Place of Traineeship for Law Students
Abstract
The article is concerned with the analysis of the provisions of the normative legal acts that determine the places of traineeship for students who study for a professional university degree. The content of the term "profile organization" has been analyzed for the proper implementation of statutory provisions concerning the place of traineeship. This seems relevant, since the analysis of legal application of these acts while arranging the training practice for law students indicates that there is no unified approach to understanding the term "profile organization". The article proves that in order to strengthen the practical slant of the education of students of law, we should consider as places for traineeship both organizations whose activities correspond to professional competencies acquired within the framework of the main professional university programs, and organizations whose legal functions operate in accordance with the corresponding educational program. The right choice of a functional unit while taking a traineeship in a law school has a significant importance for building practical skills and competencies of future lawyers. When deciding on the choice of a functional unit of an educational organization as a place for traineeship, it is advisable to send students to units with environment that promotes meeting practical challenges of the reality. The authors propose an interpretation of the term "profile organization" in the context of problems identified in the application of the statutory provisions, as well as initiate a move to amend the Federal State Educational Standard for the graduate degree in 40.03.01 Jurisprudence (bachelor's degree).
